Alright, you saw Peaky Blinders recently and you fell in love with the series. But what also impressed you was also how moody colors felt in the series. You decided to recreate the look for you next project. You started looking Hollywood LUTs, and cinematic color grading tutorials, and eventually you stumbled upon this blog post.

We are aiming at premiere pro users as of right now.

Reason being, we want to help people avoid a long round trip for color grading via Davinci Resolve. And secondly, we realize how not all filmmakers are here to grade and create cinematic visuals, some are here to tell a story and want to stick to premiere pro for ease of storytelling. And we are aiming at such creative professionals.  Also we want to boast the cinematic capability of our Indoor LUT “Wintertide”. Last week we re-created two looks from same LUT. One of them was a look from Halsey’s music video and another one was a Peaky Blinders look from the reference below.

But today we are going to focus on recreating Peaky Blinders look using Wintertide LUT.

The video below is a quick 2 mins video on achieving this look along with fixing skin-tones. It’s important to fix skin-tones because as you apply LUT, no matter where have you downloaded the LUT from, it leaves the skin-tones out of balance. Hence to counter the LUT putting skin tone off balance we have to make certain changes to skin-tones by isolating them using HSL selectors. Didn’t understand a word we just said? Don’t worry, just watch the video below.

If you want to recreate the Halsey’s music video look, here’s the tutorial for that.

We hope Colorist Factory LUTs helped you get the look you were looking for in your next project! Make sure to follow us on Instagram for more fresh cinematic color inspiration @colorist.factory. Also we’ve started a cool project of making a tutorial on utilizing each and every LUT we give in our packs! So make sure to subscribe to our Youtube channel!
